I've realized over the past couple of days what my God given talents/gifts are. And, I am pretty darn excited about it... However, I think I might be a little slow to the party. I am positive that others have seen these talents in me for a very long time.
I am not quite sure what to call these "talents", but I do know that I have the ability to bring people together. I have the ability to lead, network, get people involved and to make people feel comfortable in any situation. And, I have a strong entrepreneurial spirit. I use these skills every day, at work, with my Nashville Huskers, with the Vanderbilt Tri Deltas, the Nashville Young Tri Delta Alums...really with everything that I do.
I often wonder if I am not using my "talents" appropriately because I am not doing these kinds of things at church. But then a dear friend reminded me that just by using the talent that God has given me I am glorifying him. I am also setting an example.
So, now that I know and understand, it is time to figure out what to do with these amazing gifts I've been given :)

I'm Back!
Ok, so I know that I have been MIA for a while...
I was having serious computer/internet issues and I ended up getting a Mac Mini Last week... I am so excited. I love it... Yep I am a convert, and proud of it :)
Things also started to pick up at work which meant there was less time to post a blog...So I will do a quick recap of the past month or so!
I moved into my house, and painted, which I think you saw pictures of :) I am still loving it so so much! I have met so many neighbors and they are all pretty awesome, I can't complain!
At the end of July I started back up on weight watchers, and I have lost 8 pounds which puts me at -18 since Christmas 2009 :). Although I don't think you can tell. I can because my pants don't fit... but no one else seems to notice, which could be good or bad. Good that I carried the extra 18 well, or bad I still look like I need to lose 20 lbs... Oh well, I feel better and my close don't fit so I guess that is really all that matters. :)
At the end of July was the Eve of Janus that became very time consuming, but over all it was a great experience. However I think I may have to pass the torch to someone new next year, I had entirely too much on my plate... (I like how I say that in the past tense, I still have too much on my plate but love it all) The Eve was BEAUTIFUL...yes there was some rain...it was quite fitting for this year...
After the Eve things really started to pick up. The Anderson's were in town for Erik and Jackie's wedding and we were so lucky to be able to spend so much time with them. I took a couple of days off because I knew that fall was going to be here soon and there would be no time to breathe!
Which brings us to fall! It is here and in full swing work is busy, football is on, and life is good!

Living Room/Dining Room: Before & After
I finally have some before and after pictures for you, now that I feel like I have completed one room in the house...Hey it is the biggest room...and really it was a whole floor that got fixed up all pretty!
One reason why this whole process took so long was the fact that I could not choose paint colors for the life of me. On top of that it seems like grey is the HARDEST paint color to choose... you don't want it to look to green, or blue, or tan, or red... Yep there are way to many tones of grey...(FYI: I have done extensive google searching to figure out the correct spelling of grey vs. gray, and have not come to a conclusion of which is correct...so I opted for grey today) What a complicated color...
I ended up going with two different colors of grey, Valspar Polished Silver, and Valspar Almost Charcoal, and an awesome green, Valspar Palm Leaf... My new sofa came from Ashley Furniture (thanks to the awesome Groupon). The rug under the dining table was from World Market, the rug and the sheers in the living room were from Target. Everything else I've had since I lived in Nebraska!
You ready? Here you go!
