Weekend Get Away!

In January I took a spur of the moment trip to see Zach and McCall in Seattle, well Port Orchard actually, and had a FABULOUS time! (Ironically Casey went to Portland this same weekend)

I had a Southwest Rapid Rewards ticket to use so I left Nashville after work on a Thursday and was in Seattle by 10pm! I missed "thesituation2010" aka: a Nashville snowstorm, work was even canceled.

I love to travel, airports are the best place to people watch. Also you never know who you are
going to run into...

Friday: I got to lay low! It was so nice and relaxing, I watched sappy girl TV, I read a book. It was exactly what I needed.

Zach came and picked me up mid afternoon and we went and picked McCall up from work and went for a great dinner! Then we went out to a local pub and had a BLAST. There was a nice big
soft sofa to sit on and relax. My kind of a place!

McCall and I got up and showed the whole bar how to do the Macarena Dance (We were drug up there...we would have been perfectly happy just chair dancing). We also got some awesome people watching in too...

(I can't seem to get the video to upload, I'll try again later)

Saturday: Strange Brew Fest - Port Townsend, WA

The name of this brew fest if fairly explanatory... All of the brews were strange...Everything from Green Tea Beer to Tabasco...There were several Minty Stouts...There was also a coconut one, as well as a creamsicle beer...It was a ton of fun. I even met a real life Lumberjack while I was there! :)

Sunday: Back to Nashville I go...It was such a quick trip but so nice to see Zach and McCall! It was great to take a trip and get out of Nashville for a while... THANK YOU Zach and McCall for being my tour guides and letting me come visit for the weekend!

After Zach dropped me off at the airport I was walking to my gate and I hear someone calling my name...I thought I must have been hearing things, really, I was in Seattle, who would know me there...I looked up and just happened to be on a flight back to Nashville with my friend Kim.

What a great end to an even better trip!
